We were very impressed how well the important history of this part of California has been captured, restored and preserved in this State Park. Staff was very helpful with information and directions to attractions. Fun experience for sure.

I'd say one day is all you'll need. Check Trip Advisor for other attractions you might enjoy seeing. It is also a big wine area and lots of old gold towns near by.
