Delicious dining with a beautiful garden view

Sherman Library & Gardens, Cultivar Restaurant
We enjoyed our visit to Sherman Gardens which includes a large variety of beautiful flowers and unusual trees and plants. The garden has a theme of being house with separate areas such as a parlor, a study, a music chamber, a solarium, etc. Plant covered furniture was a fun play on this theme. It only has a $5 admission price and has accessible grounds.
The Cultivar restaurant just opened this week and features the creations of Chef Jessica Roy. We had a nice relaxing lunch with fantastic views of the gardens. I had the crab cake special and my husband had the Shermie Seasonal Salad with added Salmon. The flavor combinations were delicious. We paired this with a bottle of the Pine Ridge Vineyards Chenin Blanc + Viognier which complemented our meals.
We highly recommend going to Cultivar at the Sherman Library and Gardens.

Flowers in the Garden
Jul 2021
Flowers were beautiful. Well laid out, we spent about 1 hour in the gardens. For $5 a good deal if you like flowers. The museum was still closed due to Covid. But there were panels around to read about how the museum came to be.

The Best Wedding Venue EVER
Jun 2021
I traveled across the country to be in a wedding at this venue and would do it again in a heartbeat. All of the guests commented that it was the best wedding anyone had ever attended. Not only was the setting stunning, but the staff –- both those who helped behind the scenes and those all the guests interacted with -- were cool, calm, and collected and so very kind and helpful to the bride and groom to pull off their wedding. We were able to wander the grounds before and after the ceremony and I loved how we kept stumbling upon little hidden gems. The size of the grounds is deceiving from the street. Definitely worth making the trip, whether you are driving through Corona del Mar, or looking for the most unforgettable venue to exchange wedding vows.

Stunning wedding venue great staff
Jun 2021 • Family
We visited in June 2021 for a family wedding (I was a bridesmaid for my brother) with young children and we had a fantastic time! The venue is beautiful and perfect for photos. The sound system needs some work for the ceremony + microphone for the officiate. Staff were very pleasant to work with. After the gardens closed to the public, my three young kids enjoyed running through the gardens, never being reprimanded by anyone. During the reception, we felt very welcome by all, especially the bartender. What a great experience and I hope this review helps!

A vision of Loveliness
Oct 2020
We we taking a drive in Corona Del Mar and we parked next to this Library. Out of curiosity we walked to the front to go in and saw some beautiful plants. I was hooked I wanted to see more . so we paid the 5 dollars they wanted as a donation. It was really worth it, like a museum of plants. So nicely cared for and nicely displayed. They even have some carnivorous plants inside.

nice tour especially at holidays
Oct 2020
Gardens are all year around and they do holiday displays. There is a restaurant there too but check on local Covid restrictions for what's open.

Incredible! Loved it. I had heard about this garden but never made a plan to visit. I joined the foundation and will visit often.

Fun, Short Excursion!
Oct 2020 • Friends
This was a fun little local excursion! My friends and I went here for an hour then went to breakfast. You only need an hour max, it’s not big. But lots of interesting plants to see. For $5 bucks, it’s worth checking out!

Eh save your money
Sep 2020 • Couples
Honestly overrated. Got suckered into buying tickets online and they weren’t even checking tickets or charging people to go in. $5 is quite a bit for what they have to offer. It was more of a nursery than anything.

Peaceful respite
Aug 2020 • Couples
Wonderful little oasis during this time, safe physical distancing enforced. Felt safe during our garden stroll and at the Cafe. Great activity to add to a covid staycation.
