I want to stay here. What a lovely hotel, quaint and right out of an old movie.... beautiful! There was a lot of action even though the weekend was a bit rainy. We enjoyed touring the grounds and browsing the shops. We had lunch in the restaurant on the lower level and just absolutely enjoyed ourselves. Prices are high, but... More

Start your Coronado visit at the Visitors Center if you can. They have a great helpful staff, maps, and an interesting little museum to give you a general background. It is close to many sites and cute shops line the street around it. An historic neighborhood is next to it. They also have a little restaurant. They get you on... More

I was in San Diego for Business and really wanted to see Coronado. I drove into the island and found free parking up the block past the Hotel Del Coronado. I did not stay there but did walk around the beach and through the hotel. It's a wonderful icon and I bought a cup of coffee and watched the sun... More

Spend some time and tour the Coronado Hotel, it's old and ornate, ride the old metal elevator just to say you did it). Not a big place but look through the shops, eat at the restaurants (HINT- try Sheerwater's) or go for home made ice cream (usually long lines). Find the pressed penny machines for a great, inexpensive souvenir.

This Visitor Center provided information needed but there is not a lot on offer. Worth a visit if you need information about Coronado or San Diego.

We purchased tickets for the USS Midway Museum Tour. The attendant was very helpful and went above and beyond to help us get discounted tickets. It is a nice center, clean bathrooms and good deals for local sights.

Beautiful area. Love the peaceful small town feel of this pristine island. Will come back. So many family friendly activities to experience. Looking forward to more fun and adventures on Coronado Island.
