Absolutely charming!

Lovely park in the center of a beautiful SoCal "island" that's just across the bay from downtown San Diego.

This attracted our family with a wonderful play structure and plenty of room to allow kids to be kids. No pets allowed. Restroom facilities stark but available and a gazebo in the middle that kids run around. The best part is Concerts on Sunday in the early evenings during the summer. A great place to picnic and pause in the... More

Lots of grass and a very fun playground! It's close to all the restaurants/ shops, so it was a great spot to let our daughter climb and explore before having to sit down for a meal or a long drive in the car elsewhere.

It is just fun to say "Spreckels" a whole bunch of times. So go to this park and say "Spreckles" out loud as people walk by! We were there for a concert and the crowd was friendly, the grass was inviting to spread out upon and the vibe was laid-back. Just another beautiful spot in Coronado.... Grab a sandwich or... More

Spreckels Park is a block long jewel just off Orange Street in Coronado. From Memorial Day thru Labor Day (approximately) there are free concerts every Sunday evening. Bring your picnic and blanket and enjoy the music under the trees. The music draws hundreds of people, so come early or it will be hard to find a good spot. Other days,... More

I was walking through Coronado and was attracted to Spreckels Park by music that was being played in the central gazebo. The concert was free and the park was packed. It was a very nice time with a beautiful park, mellow people, and great weather.

Spreckels Park looks like a throwback to the 1880's with the Victorian Bandstand at it's center. That is where all the fun happens on Sunday evenings Summer Concert Series through September 11th. Music starts at 5:30 and goes till 8:30. You can arrive at 3pm to set up your picnic spot. This is a very popular event and the park... More

Try to get to Coronado for some extended time most summers. Look forward to and enjoy the Sunday Concerts that are hosted by the City of Coronado. Great music and entertainment for 1.5 hours every Sunday starting around 6:00 PM with a different band every week from early June through mid September. Bring your own lawn or beach chairs, food...
