One of the most beautiful campus in the University of California system

The open feeling and careful planning makes the UC Davis campus easy to navigate. There so many varied activities available from the "bug museum" to walking through the arboretum.

It's a shame that TripAdvisor does not seem to have a separate entry for the new museum on the UC Davis campus: the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art. It really deserves its own entry (BTW, Yelp has an entry for the museum!). I visited the museum with a friend who attended UC Davis and studied with... More

UC Davis has the biggest land area of any UC campus. So getting from point A to point B can take some doing. But it is worth it to see the great public art, including the giant heads. Just don't get downwind from the cattle yards.

The UCD campus is fun to view, especially between classes on a school day and all the bicyclists are out on the street. The arboretum is a wonderful place to walk or stroll. The campus architecture is generally unremarkable, but the landscaping is good. The Mondavi Center is a wonderful concert venue, and certainly see-worthy itself.

It is worth the time to walk through the campus. A few blocks away from the downtown restaurants, some of the best of America's future are here.

There are many great things to see on the UC Davis campus. Walk the beautiful arboretum trail, find all of the egg head statues, ride your bike along the many paths, check out the equestrian center or dairy cows, enjoy a free salad at the pick your own salad garden, watch the ducks along Putah Creek (they call it Lake... The UC is one of the nation's leading network of academic institutions, with Davis, traditionally being the agricultural, life-sciences oriented campus. Since its early days it of course grew and spread all over town including outgrowths in Sacramento. Student these days come to take any kind of education from Psychology to medicine and plant sciences. The campus is however still... More

As a former graduate of the University's Davis campus, I have quite a bit of perspectiveo n how this place has developed. It was started as an agricultural oriented school and had a good solid curriculum that directly worked on giving good educations to the students in their chosen fields. Then the radical times started hitting the school. There were... More

The campus is great with a Mondavi vineyard and wine production, a new art museum to open in Nov and great open spaces.
