This is a very short hike down a gentle slope with only 1 switchback. Water is steady over the waterfall and you can continue hiking behind the falls and proceed to a overlook with a great view of lower Hedge Creek and Mount Shasta. There...More

We totally passed this area and drove further down the road looking for it. We did not realize the little parking lot was right next to the freeway off-ramp. Pay close attention and you will see the sign for Hedge Creek Falls - keep to...More

There seems to be many "hidden falls" in this Mount Shasta area, and this one seems to be one of them but with easier access. Take the Dunmuir Ave exit off of I-5, and the parking lot is right there! If you are traveling southbound,...More

Really nice waterfall that you can walk behind. There is a short trail starting from a small park right at the north-side freeway ramp for Dunsmuir (just up from Cedar Lodge). This hike is short on a well groomed trail, but has some altitude change....More

At the north end of town at the freeway entrance/exit, you'll find a little parking area for the falls. Its a short hike down and a short hike back. The falls are pretty but small. Its mostly shady.

I agree with the other review, although the trail down to the falls is relatively short, it is pretty uneven and steep in parts.
