Stone Brewing was founded in 1996 by Steve Wagner and Greg Koch in North County San Diego, CA. It is the largest craft brewery in the southwestern United States and has been named "All-Time Top Brewery on Planet Earth" by BeerAdvocate magazine - TWICE! A recently announced $26.6M expansion plan (that includes a hotel among other lofty ventures) is underway, as are developments to become the first American craft brewery to open a brewhouse in Europe. The adjacent Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens plays host to countless wildly popular beer and dining events, and is the largest purchaser of local, organic produce in San Diego County, including a growing amount from their own Stone Farms! In addition to promoting ethical eating, the restaurant boasts a lush one-acre outdoor garden as well as a line-up of 32 rotating taps and 100+ bottled craft beer selections for guests to enjoy.

I should qualify by stating that I am not a beer drinker, so the "free beer tasting" at the end of the tour was not a big selling point for me, but I did try everything to see if they could convert me. The tour...More

Came for lunch with friends and five kids. Great atmosphere! Area to sit and area to walk around. It was a very enjoyable lunch. Food was delish, but pretty pricey. Beer was awesome like you would think. Five stars overall but to make the experience...More

I think it's great that Stone Brewery provides tours of their facility to the public. I also think their philosophy of sharing with other brewers what they have found to work for the industry is an outstanding stewardship. The company screams sustainability and they have...More

We came on our way down from LA to San Diego. While the food and drink can’t be beat, the service was less than desirable. Not bad. Just could use some improvement. Also it would be better service to clue you in that if you...More

This is quite an establishment. The outdoor dining area is very attractive and even on a cold evening (for these parts), there were plenty of people outside because of the presence of individual heaters. Our hostess was very endearing.

After touring a couple of Wineries, I knew my hubby would want to visit a brewery. He had heard of Stone Brewery so we went with his Sister-in-Law. I was really impressed with our server's knowledge of the various beers. We shared the Artisan Cheese...More

We stayed at Welks Resort in Escondido and I overheard an employee tell another guest about Stone Brewery and that it was close. Hubby and I love craft beer, so off we went. The place is gorgeous. It has outdoor gardens, firepits, intimate seating scattered...More

We were staying in Temecula for a couple nights, and my husband is more about the beer than wine. Since Stones is one of his favorites & only a 45 minute drive we decided to visit. This location has the most beautiful brewery grounds that...More
