We came out of Santa Cruz in search of the park, and it was mystical. One moment, you are driving in city traffic. The next, you are on a winding, climbing road that weaves through majestic redwoods and pines, with lots of other visual distractions...More

This is a wonderful park to see giant redwood trees. There is an easy 0.8 mile walkway through the forest that allows almost everyone the opportunity to experience these wonderful trees. I tore a meniscus in my knee a couple of weeks befroe this trip...More

The area is spectacular. Close to San Jose so an easy day trip. Lots of great hikes. Fewer people than some of the other parks.

Great park with variety of hiking and amazing red woods. Not as crowded as other red wood parks, a must stop if in area.

I went here with my daughter in April. The park has even main paths that would be accessible by strollers and toddlers. Great example of redwoods and there are a few slightly more difficult patches. It’s a great trip if you don’t have a full...More

Ive never had trouble parking at this park. Many people park out on the highway so they dont have to pay for parking.
