A great place to see redwoods when you can't walk easily or far. A level, accessible trail winds around old growth forest and fantastic redwood trees. A local informational center and gift shop are also available, along with a nearby narrow gauge train ride. A...More

It was neat to read about John C. Frémont and walk into the tree he stayed in! It was hard to get in but really eerie and cool once you got in there. You can stand up straight!!! These trees were massive and huge! My...More

We wanted to see redwood trees and not go with giant crowds to Muir Woods. This was a perfect detour heading north to San Francisco. What an amazing place! A fresh place to breathe and stroll on the trail with the ancient trees! I was...More

I usually take a hike here every week through the redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountain. If in the Santa Cruz area I thoroughly recommend a stop here....you can take the Redwood Loop trail or a longer one......It is a beautiful spot.

I visit at least once a week for an early morning hike to start my week out right. I’ve always wanted to live someplace where people came to appreciate nature, I’ve hit the jackpot!

To small for a 30 foot rv, it's claims to be able to for a 40 foot maybe 1 site the others no way. Do not take hwy 9 low hanging trees and narrow roads.

Easily accessible redwoods near Santa Cruz. If you're visiting Santa Cruz it's worth driving 10 minutes north on Highway 9 and stop at Henry Cowell and walk the 1 mile or so loop through the old growth redwoods.

When in Santa Cruz don't miss this state park just maybe 20 minutes away from downtown. While there are lots of longer hikes there, the easy .8 mile redwood loop is something most anyone can walk with ease. You might hike it fast in 10...More
