Boating and swimming

Clean water, however lake is low, but plenty of water for swimming and boating. Some dead fish and dog droppings on the beach, but since water is low you can find a nice beach.

Lots of amenities at this beach. A sizable snack bar, plenty of picnic tables, nice gradual slope into the water, plenty of trees for shade. The only drawback is NO ALCOHOL allowed! C'mon, who doesn't want to enjoy cold beer when at the beach?! If they're worried about broken glass - that's what aluminum cans are for!

First time here!! Overwhelmed with how warm the waters and friendly lifeguards on duty. Great place for family reunions, or just a day with grandbabies. Already have plans for another weekend! Happy summer life.

We normally buy a season pass and take our grandkids here during the warm months. They have a great time and the price is reasonable for the kids to have an outing to the beach once a week.

A lot of different beaches and the largest of all of Folsom Lake! Also probably one of cleanest fresh water lakes clarity wise in all of California, yes I have been to most! And you can walk in for free! Only negative and not pertain to Folsom Lake is that the California State Parks system has raised the year pass... More

Granite Bay is the best place to launch a boat at Folsom Lake, just take Douglas Blvd. to the east and it dead ends into the entrance of the State Park. Entry fees are modest considering the fun to be had on the other side of the entrance. As you drive through you'll see the boat ramp area on the... More

Well, it's not the ocean, but you won't care! This beach has it all. It's beautiful, there's a snack bar, there's no glass on the beach, it's safe famiiy fun with paddle board and kayak rentals. It's also one of the most beautiful runs in the area.

Located close to Folsom, Granite Bay, and surrounding areas. Great central location with lots of parking and access to having a great day walking, running, hiking, biking, or horseback riding on the trails.
