Great place for watching the ocean with a chance of seeing whales (we didn't) and playing in tide pools. My wife is disabled and we thought the clifftop boardwalk would be nice. It was, but the planks going crosswise made for a bumpy wheelchair ride....More

All-around nice facility. Good parking, a beach to the right and the boardwalk to the left. The restrooms are not dreadful. We skipped the beach and only did the boardwalk along the bluffs. I was pleased that there were no "stay on the boardwalk" signs,...More

We enjoyed our visit to MacKerricher State Park. We were welcomed by a gentleman, who gave us a summary of what we could see at the park. We drove over to the beach, which was beautiful. The views were terrific. Definitely a place to visit...More

Great place to spot seals, sea lions and whales! Another wonderful place to go for a walk along a broad walk to the beach area and bluffs. Went out in the late afternoon and walked to the end of the broad walk and was able...More

This was a friendly campground. It's employees, volunteers, and visitors were all very personable. Clear short walking trails to the beach that were conveniently located.

We were there when the weather was not that great. The tide was pretty high so we did not see the seals in the morning. The boardwalk to the viewing area is very nice. There was a volunteer out there to help find seals. Nice...More

This great (free for day use!) area has it all; beach walking, a nice boardwalk that passes by bluffs on the coast, tide pools and an area to watch harbor seals and California sea lions... and if you're lucky - whales! The boardwalk itself is...More

The boardwalk is out near the ocean. Follow the road under the trestle out to the big parking lot overlooking the huge beach and ocean, next to the restroom buildings. Not sure if the road is repaired yet and you can drive... More
