The place is romantic with an inviting lobby-living room public area with fireplace, table games, etc. We saw it once at Christmas and it is Awesome. The river and the trees from all views are stunning. (Too bad there has been so little rain in the area for 4 years - made for a dry look in places). There is... More

The greens are not taken care of at all . Crab grass and divots have taken over the greens. Probably the most neglected golf course in northern California.

We stayed in the newer part of the hotel BUT save your money and stay in the original part. We viewed these rooms before leaving and there was not much of a difference. Our room did have a patio but the hotel is amazing that you can hang out by a fire pit or out on their patio. This hotel... More

Saw the course beside the road and stopped to play. Worst course I have played. Lost balls in middle of fairway because grass was so long. Other fairways brown and bare so the ball rolled off the course. Many blind shots with no idea where to hit or how far. Greens in terrible shape. Charged $10 for a nine hole... More

Classic historic inn located at the beginning of the Avenue of the Giants and Redwood Forests. The accommodations-while historic-are surprisingly modern and comfortable. Pleasant and courteous staff, on site restaurant with excellent dinner service. Back patio is riverfront with reading chairs, croquet, and small dog friendly. Accompanying grounds (through an underpass) are a golf course and KOA type campground

We were traveling North when I saw a beautiful place serving lunch outside with tables and umbrellas overlooking a beautiful spot on the river. Rarely would my husband oblige but at my insistence that it looked so inviting we turned around and went back to find it was Benbow Inn. Lovely treat it was, beautiful old historic Inn built at... as far as nine hole courses go this is a gem. Not many flat lies. The greens could use some work but the scenery is great. I recommend getting a cart very hilly

It's a 9-hole course. It may be better groomed in the summer than the Fall and Winter. If you plan to go anyway, bring more balls.

Great setting and some challenging holes. Beautiful scenery for golfing, well kept, greens were fast and it's not every day that you get to golf with deer wandering across the fairways and leaving their droppings on the greens.

It is walking distance from the Benbow Inn and it is adjacent to an awesome family campground. The golf course is challenging and pretty. Very friendly people and attendants work there at the upgraded campground and golf course. They didn't blink when we asked to take our service dog. We had an enjoyable 18 hole round with dinner at the... More
