My college son has a passion for the wine industry so we visited with Chris the owner at Loxton and he did a great job with the tasting/tour. You can tell Chris is passionate about his vineyard. The wine is great and we are now happy members of his club.

We did a 90 min "walkabout tour" with Chris which they offer on the weekends. He spent a great deal of time with us explaining everything about the vineyard and its history. Also taught us much about the wine making process. Its clear Chris is an enthusiast and is interested in making great tasting wines. We sat down for a... More

Loxton was very unassuming when we pulling up the drive. Once we got onto the property, I didn't want to leave. We had the pleasure of doing a tasting put on by the master himself. Chris was so charismatic, knowledgeable, hilarious and intelligent, he really made our entire day and our tasting experience so great. You could tell how passionate... More

We really enjoyed our visit here. Clearly there are many bigger wineries some with great views and food etc but we really liked this one for the quality of the wine and the amazing dedication of the owner. The level of production is low as there is only so much a small team can do but everything we tried was... More

Very simple tasting room with a limited production. The ladies who poured the wines were very nice. No pressure to buy anything. Nice outside.

Our tour guide talked this winery up on the bus as we were driving from our first stop. I was not wowed at all. The tasting advisor mentioned Chris the owner numerous times; however, he never said hello or acknowledged us. The tasting was nice, but now wowing. The picnic area was pretty and we enjoyed lunch which redeemed this... More

We first visited Chris Loxton's winery in 2012 shortly after he opened operations. We loved it then and we love it even more now. If you are hoping to experience passion, dedication, great wine and friendly, knowledgeable people, Loxton's is the place! Not only will you taste great wines, you will also learn a little about how the grapes are... More

We were looking for a "down to earth" winery to visit and Loxton was recommended. The staff spent a lot of time explaining about the wines and were in no rush to push us out. The best surprise is their port. I do not like port but Loxton's was excellent and I had to buy a bottle.

Our Californian friends are friends of owner Chris Loxton, and so our visit to California and Sonoma County had to include Loxton's. Chris is a delight and it is great to see an Aussie fitting in so well with the local wine scene, producing great wines from arrangements he has made with other wine growers. While we were there tasting... More
