This is a very nice quiet low-key beach to visit for someone wanting to get some sun or reading on the sand, or strolling on the sand. It is not a touristy beach such as Santa Monica Beach. It is mostly local residents and UCSB/CCSB...More

Goleta Beach Oark was once a beautiful place for family outings, picnics and celebrations. Picnic tables and grills remain, but all traces of grass are gone, leaving only dirt. The shoreline has been eroded and so in order to get down to the beach one...More

Simple, undeveloped, natural. Sand is pleasant if not very wide. Oil slicks are natural and therefore acceptable...

I grew up playing at Goleta Beach often. It has a playground, ample parking, many grassy picnic areas, a long shore to walk on, a long pier, and restaurant available. My only negative would be that some of the parties get kinda loud on weekends...More

Been going to it for over 25 years. There is a playground for children, a pier to walk on and fish from.

The beach in Goleta is a little slice of paradise that isn't over crowded at all. I found some great shells on this beach as well as some amazing pieces of driftwood.

The beach is littered with tar and sharp items. Not suitable for kids. This is especially bad towards the Bacara hotel. Remember to bring tar wipes if you go and wear cloth you do not care about.

This is not where I'd bring a guest who wants to experience the beach. There are places one cannot approach the water because of erosion and ensuing work.
