Gray whales can often be spotted close to the shore of this scenic beach. Surrounded by high cliffs, it features a clothing-optional section during the spring.

We ventured up to Pacifica for the day to explore a trail... but parking was non existent, so we headed to this location. We were so excited by the cliffs & waves and I got some great pictures. As we approached, the port-a-pottys haven't been...More

This is easy to miss from the road if not for the parking area. There is a little road then many wooden steps down. But beautiful beach to hang out.

We like this beach. It's not crowded like the Pacifica. It's clean!!! We've seen few friendly dogs. Parking is off the road so you'll have to cross the street so be careful. There's a stairs leading to the beach. The view is amazing :)

The view is breathtaking...seemed like some great waves for surfers, but quite dangerous for children to swim. There are about 200 steps/stairs to take to the bottom. Sure is nice to have the stairs to help you get down there. It seems to have two...More

Roaring nature, fantastic views. Absolutely worth stopping and taking a walk. This part of the coast is as amazing as the the South.

Stopped by this beach while traveling up Hwy 1 and it was beautiful. You have to park across the street to gain access and that can be a little confusing at first. Steps down to beach were long, but easy.

you have to park in a little lot on the east side of the highway, then cross carefully. It's small and will creep up on you, on the south end of what used to be devil's slide. it's never really warm there, but still, a...More

I've visited this beach 3 or 4 times a year the past few years and have never seen dogs on the beach, I think it is not allowed, but am not sure. Check the calif. State beach website for Gray Whale Cove it should say what... More
