Great cocktails and small plates on patio

A regular retreat, casual and always fun. Bartenders are up for mixing old fashion drinks, friendly and attentive servers, warm heaters or fire pits for foggy evenings.

I took a friend for her birthday. We had a table by the window and enjoyed the sunset and whales out on the bay. Our cocktails were fine, as was the service. A piano player added not-too-loud tunes so we conversed easily. She loved her usual mixed seafood meal, though I though my petrale sole was too battered and not... More

Many of us Tibetan Terrier owners had a meet up with dogs at the beach. LOVELY place for dogs on and off leash to run and play. Free parking is along the street....short walk from there to the beach. There is a rocky maybe 6 step stairway to the beach that is fairly easy. Just make sure you don't have... More

Located across the street from the ocean, The Miramar has great views. Our food was delicious, but the service was very slow.

Beautiful long sandy beach, shallow enough to swim if tide is out, and great to run your dog! Whales, dolphins, birds everywhere in July. Great walking beach!

Drove out to half moon from the airport for our first meal. The restaurant is very nice inside with a wood decor, nice bar, tablecloth and napkin server. There is an outside seating area that is heated as well. As some others have stated, it was great to see the whales feeding just off the shore. There is an abundance... More

Beach is an ok little stretch with lots of surfers. Easy access and miramar beach inn is a great little place to eat and have an ocean view. You can wal along the beach or the jetty road in front of the restaurant, which turns into a long path with many ocean views. But, the coolest thing is when the... More

We had a lunch and a dinner here, we sat outside by the firepit on both occasions. The staff were lovely, the food and wine was good. Would totally recommend to anyone stopping by.

Great location on the water and a wide seafood-focused menu at reasonable prices. The restaurant is a little ‘tired’ on the inside and perhaps due for a makeover – it seems a shame not to bring this ideally located spot into the current time from a decor and feel perspective. Terrific value and good quality food – the chowder was... More

Great beach, easy access, and the ONLY beach in all of Half Moon Bay that allows dogs on leash. We tried several beaches and had to look up to find this one. Half Moon Bay is beautiful but their beaches are not dog friendly at all. Downtown is great and welcomes dogs but not the beaches. This one even had... More
