Open By Appointment Only. In the heart of the beautiful Russian River Valley, Gary Farrell Vineyards & Winery offers a proud 33-year winemaking history and a unique sense of place. Perched atop a ridge along winding Westside Road, the winery offers a spectacular view of the sweeping valley below. Gary Farrell Winery benefits immeasurably from its long-term relationships with many of the Russian River Valley's most celebrated and sought-after vineyards including Rochioli, Allen, and Hallberg to name a few. Gary Farrell Winery helped put Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the world stage, and the hallmark Gary Farrell wine style remains one of balance, elegance, texture and sense of place. Today these acclaimed wines can be enjoyed on our intimate outdoor terrace and the view from our winery completes the picture.

Gary Farrell lies outside my normal circuit of wineries in the Napa and Sonoma area. Having been referred here I made my tasting appointment (as there are no drop in tastings) and made the drive up through the Russian River Valley. A far cry from the unabashed tourism of Napa and even calmer and more serene than most Sonoma experiences.... More

Although Gary Farrell is under a renovation, they have substituted their beautiful tasting room with intimate and magical tasting tents with beautiful views of their property. You almost feel like you are on a wine tasting safari. The tasting is elegant and rustic at the same time, just perfect. The fur blankets and heaters ensures even the highest maintenance guest... I work in the wine industry and I had made a reservation for a tasting. They had not told me that the tasting room was under renovation. So we were escorted to a tent to taste the wines. My wife and I did not like it. We did not get to see the grounds. I was kind of Insensed when... More

Reg, I wanted to let you know that I always appreciate feedback on our experiences good or bad. I'm sorry that you did not feel fully informed about the nature of the semi-private experience we are offering during our renovations. Really enjoyed the staff, the great wines, and the scenery. The Pinots are very good, but you need to try the chards also!

Exceptional wines, especially the Pinots- so good we joined the club! Wine tasting was top notch even in the "glamping cottage" during construction this winter. Warm, personalized, not at all rushed, and the pourer was informative and very friendly! Best wine tasting of our trip to Sonoma County.

Walk through of wine making facilities followed by small group tasting experience. This was an unhurried visit with time for questions/answers by knowledgeable hosts. The wines are excellent.

We visited while the winery was being renovated. However, we were taken to finely appointed tents and provided a tour that was informative and tailored to us.

We had a great tasting. They are redoing their main tasting room, so we were outside in nice upscale tents tasting great Pinot's. And of course now members awaiting our shipment

I had last visited this winery ten years ago, when Gary Farrell was still in charge and making remarkable pinot noir. When coming back recently with a friend, I did not realize that the winery had changed hands several times over the years. It's now owned by Vincraft. The quality of the wine has declined, and the only thing remarkable... More

If you would be so kind as to send me an email directly to elaborate on your experience it would help me immensely in addressing the concerns you had with your experience with my team. GF tasting was so much fun. Our host was probably the best host we have ever had at a tasting and the wines just fantastic!!! Can't wait to go back.
