We walked the pier early in the day so not as crowded as the afternoons. We watched the men fishing off the pier. Food is available at end of pier. Very beautiful setting!

A good spot to take a walk. Grab a to-go beverage at any of the coffee spots close by and take a stroll to the end of the pier. Plenty to see with a view curio shops at the start of the pier. A lot...More

Famous HB Pier with Rubys Diner on the end. Wait time can be quite long for the Diner depending on the time of day. You can also walk up to the window at the front of Ruby's and order your food, wait timer is less....More

A lovely pier that is great just to walk along and unwind, plenty of fisherman along the edges, great for watching the surfers from above. Get to the end and there is Rubys Diner, a 50's style diner that do excellent milk shakes.

This is a bit of a must-see as the pier just well out into the Pacific...sounds & sights are something to experience...I could almost hear Jan & Dean's Surf City (well, I say almost, as the 'beach' now has several volleyball setups, vice surf shacks/cabanas)..............

It's just your average pier although they have a Ruby's Diner at the end! Nice place to walk but gets very crowded on a hot summer day or night.

I saw someone answered. I believe there was a separate beach where they allow pets. I didn't see any on the main beach itself

From the pier you need tackle , pole, cooler, ice, bait.. Deep sea charters have all that and go out miles for best fishing If you have the money, go deep sea. Mikw
