The state park has a good collection of railroad items especially from films but the day we were there did not click. The park was getting ready for its version of the Polar Express and some 8000 people seeing Santa Claus. As opening was a...More

We decided on a whim to visit this park. We are so glad we did! We wandered around on our own for a bit and then joined a tour led by Paul, one of the volunteer docents. He was such a great guide and clearly...More

Beautiful and quiet setting. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is lots to see and plenty to learn. Me and my friend were visiting from England so we were amazed at the landscape the train ride took us through. I would definitely return!

We went primarily to see the walk of movie fame but did the guided tour and were not disappointed. Tom was a great guide and obviously has a passion for trains. We saw the steam engines and lots of movie history. A lovely way to...More

Really enjoyed the ride albeit the carriages were not pulled by a steam train. Loved the conductor who came up with lots of interesting facts but also appreciated we were visiting from the UK. Staff on the platform and in the shop equally welcoming and...More

We saw the sign listing the movies and TV shows made on the trains and it was fun to remember those shows from long ago. We walked to the depot from the main street and looked at the plaques for movies and TV shows put...More

You can actually walk around and see a lot outside of operating hours. Check their website. Trains don't run everyday and occasionally they run a steam engine in addition to diesel engines so you may want to plan a specific... More

I would definitely buy online because it will be busy on the Holiday weekend. Also very hot. Bring a hat and water.
