This is one out of only two places in California where it is allowed to pick wild mushrooms. Obviously, mushrooms could be poisonous and you need to know what you're doing!

We stayed here for a week and loved it. We have a trailer so we weren't concerned with wind or weather conditions. Site 9 was the closest to the ocean view/trail and we could hear the ocean at night and not the hwy 1 traffic.There...More

Nice hikes and very interesting history take a lunch and spend the day. The sandstone was used to make the streets of San Francisco in 1850=80s.

One of the most memorable camping trips in two campsites in the Salt point woodside campground; the campground was on the slope which gave it some privacy and cozy feel. Nice hiking and bike trails; young kids had a blast biking and playing badminton. The...More

My husband and I stayed at Woodside Campground last week for a night. It was a last minute decision to go and this was the closest place that had any availability. It was reasonable and fit our needs, however I would have enjoyed it more...More

This is a perfect spot for daytime exploration or for overnight camping. Great for all ages; some trails are even wheelchair accessible.

I wrote the first review about the park two years ago and after that have hiked the ocean trail there a few more times. I need to add: Don't hike it,"crawl", walk very slow, climbing down every cove wherever it is possible. Spend time just...More

I live in Mill Valley. From my home which is 20 minutes from SF Marina--over the Golden Gate. I go there regularly and it is about 1.5 hours. I go through Petaluma and then hit hwy 1. Lovely drive. Love it all!
