The whole resort is big and includes a shopping center . We stayed in one of the cabins and although it wasn't a modern place it was nice and comfortable. Be aware that the dining options are limited in the evening .

We enjoyed our ski sessions. Nice slopes for beginners and there are shuttle buses to take you around the resorts. A bit pricey though, it’s better to bring your own jacket/ski pants.

Would prefer Yuzawa to Karuizawa due to lack of real snow. Karuizawa mainly uses snow making machines. But views are still wonderful and the outlet mall is good fun for non-skiiers. The lift ticket and rental are also more costly than yuzawa, more of a...More

The ski area is quite confined and the snow is man-made - no powder here folks. Pictures posted on the internet look much better than the reality. Anyway, you can always shop at the nearby outlet mall...

Call the hotel to confirm if it's open, what hours it's open, how much it costs, and whether open to the public. We didn't go there with our kids, but there is a nice playground at the karuizawa train station, very nice for... More

There is a parking lot. On weekdays it is free but on weekends and other busy days it is 1,000 yen per car.
