Watch the seals hang out

It was fun to watch the seals slumber on the beach or mix with the human swimmers. Very dramatic atmosphere with the waves crashing.

The sea lions are wonderful. Could have stayed there for hours. We roamed around and took pictures and watched the sea lions and the birds sitting on their nests. La Jolla is absolutely breathtaking!!!! LOVE IT

I'm glad we went. My wife and I both considered not taking the kids due to reviews that the area was dirty or smelly. I only wonder what one expects to smell when you are on a coast where sea lions and seals spend there time and are right there in front of you? Of course it will smell like... More

Like the words meaning "La Jolla" (the Jewel), La Jolla is just that a jewel. With its quaint shops, gourmet restaurant's and breath-taking views La Jolla Cove is a must stop during your visit to San Diego. I rated this place as only "very good" because of the late afternoon traffic and difficulty finding parking especially on weekends. So take... More

This was great! They have seals hay come fairly close to the shore. They play and sit on the rocks. Not handicapped friendly to get down the shore where they are.

Skip the crowds and take a walk on the old la jolla trail, north of the cove. We visited in February. It was a beautiful sunny early morning, the seals were adorable and -0- crowds so I was able to linger for a long time and take it all in. P.S. I didn't smell a thing! I must have a... More
