Picture on TA is acualliy from the Top Of The World Park which would have little interest to the visitor. To get to Alta Laguna Park drive up Park St to Alta Laguna, turn left and go to the end. Great vistas of Laguna Beach and a number of hiking trails.

I was in Search of Top of the World and this park is right by the main hill. It's a beautiful park with great views of the valley. Has a jungle gym, tennis courts, shelters, and a really cool whale tail art space. I recommend hanging out here for a bit, walk around barefooted in the grass and enjoy.

The trails leading from Alta Laguna Park offer amazing views for hikers and bikers. Trails extend into Laguna Canyon and also connect with Aliso and Wood Canyons. Trails range from dirt fire roads to very difficult single track. Alta Laguna is the highest elevation of the trail system and the ride back can wear you out. Views are worth it... More

Unbelievable views of the Pacific, canyons, and mountains! Would have rated 5 stars if the trails were marked with the trail names, distance, direction, and difficulty level. Also was difficult to find the posted map. One of the informational signs for the mountain range view was totally illegible and needs to be replaced. Would be nice if paper maps were... More

They don't call it Top of the World" park for nothing! We set out on what we thought would be a 5 mile hike. It ended up being 8 miles because we missed a turn somewhere! We actually took a picture of the trail map and I think we got so caught up we weren't paying attention to where we... More

This place, also called Top of the World because that's exactly how you will feel is well worth the short drive from the beach. It's especially popular at sunset and that draws me to it if I'm in the area. There's street parking and a short walk for us on 2 or 4 wheels to get to the viewing area... More

This park at the famous Top of the World offers play for children of all ages and a wonderful view of Saddleback and, with a short walk, the Pacific.

This part is not to be missed if you are visiting Laguna Beach. Park and walk around. You will see mountains and ocean...at the same time!

The City and people of Laguna Beach created a "Greenbelt" around their town. There is no other location to see their efforts than from this park. In one direction there is Saddleback Mountain and orange county, in another the canyon, and in another the beautiful Pacific Ocean. What a spectacular view and a wonderful hiking or biking environment. There really... More

Outside of Hiesler Park, the Top of World Lookout, accessible through Alta Laguna Park, has the best views of the area. You get a 360 degree view of the entire region and at least when I was up there, it looked like you are standing at the same elevation as the clouds. Also, a side note, the drive up to... More
