Because we were staying in Bridgeport, this was our connection to Yosemites. A fascinating bit of engineering to construct and especially maintain this road. We had clear weather, would not enjoy if icy!! Great photo shots of the valleys.

Gaylor Lakes hike, Pothole Dome, Lake Tenyaya, Olmsted Point - just a few things you don't want to miss while driving this picturesque road into Yosemite! Not very busy compared to other roads in the park.

The high pass roads are usually closed in November due to snow. Use the Big Oak flat entrance or the South entrance

No problem. The road surface is in excellent condition. Use pullouts to let cars behind you pass by.
