On a road trip we stopped here and had fun. Where else can you drive thru a tree? I remember being here as a child in the 1960's. Still is thrilling.

If you are in Northern California along the 101 the Redwood Forests are spectacular. And none are better than the Chandelier Drive Through Tree. You can drive your car right through an old Redwood Tree. It's free to the public and well worth it.

After you drive by the signs to these places sometime ps you just have to stop. Good quiet place to pick ic a ywy Don't plan on driving your RV through it though

I agree with the person, that this is it! You either head into the redwoods or the beautiful California coast line. It is a fun tourist thing to do. I believe it is the only drive thru tree left to drive thru. Enjoy the... More

It is a not a big city . You can find food but the biggest attraction is the drive thru.

See William s reply below. The drive thru tree is fun. There is another drive thru tree in Leggett. That has a gift shop, rest rooms, and picnic area. Hope u enjoy your trip to the Redwood Forest as much as we did! Pat
