Second drive through tree

The drove to this one and the wait was much longer then Shrine drive thru tree we did earlier that day. But it was definitely more into tourist than the prior. The winding road... read more

Great novelty. It was very well signed and very reasonably priced. We were a little worried taking a hire car through the tree, but the cashier assured us he had the exact same SUV and it would fit through easily. So we set off to drive through the tree (he was right, we easily fit through). A real talking point... More

Of the three drive thru trees along CA highway 101 this was the most impressive. The tree is big enough to drive an average sedan or sports car but put the brakes on a Surburban. It's a beautiful park with a fully functioning gift shop. Buy drive-thru tree gifts here because at the others you might not get a chance.... More

Was the best visit since I was a kid. This time brought my Scottish husband. He was totally impressed.

I highly recommend this place for anyone passing through the area. The picture alone is worth the entry fee.

The drove to this one and the wait was much longer then Shrine drive thru tree we did earlier that day. But it was definitely more into tourist than the prior. The winding road to it made it feel more in nature so whole you waited for your photo opportunity it was very scenic. We also parked afterwards and went... More

I had always heard about a drive thru tree, so I had to see (drive thru) when I was on a vacation that took me to California Redwoods. I am lucky I was watching the clearance on the passenger side or I may have done like so many others and scraped the passenger side. I was driver a Dodge Charger... More

Well it is what is says: a drive through a giant tree. We paid 5 bucks which is fine, but was not thrilled about it.

You just have to do this, as you drive on Hwy 101/Hwy 1. Totally worth $5 in the off-season, especially if your car can make it thru! Kids thought it was cool, so that's a 'win!' Nice gift shop too.

We took a leisurely drive up from San Francisco and so glad that we did. It was roughly 3 hour drive up and the same back. To get into an attraction like this we were so surprised at the $5 charge, you could double or treble it in the UK and we would pay it. It's different, maybe not everyone's... More
