From the mainroad its about 20km through an amzing hilly landscape, with stunning views in valleys and finally the Pacific Ocean. Its a not the nicest beach in California, but an off the beaten track destination to hang out for the day or even camp...More

The 3 of us, myself, young son and Grandma all stayed one night in the Pelican Cabin. It was a great way to enjoy a camp ground! The cabin was nice, clean and comfortable. Overall, very peaceful and relaxing! We will come again!

Came here for a quick visit with my spouse who grew up here. Very much a family campground/beach with the basics for a state park--and amazing beach. Watch out for the tar balls!

The drive to the beach was spectacular. The beauty of the beach with the back drop of the mountains was breathtaking.

This beach is located close enough for a day trip even if its just to enjoy the famous Jalama Burger.

The burgers are so worth the 14 mile twisty road! I have a friend that didn't eat beef. We split a turkey burger, which I was not looking forward to. It was off the hook delicious. I honestly didn't even realize it wasn't beef.

This beach is awesome. The sand was clean with not a lot of bugs. The campground area was also clean. I can't wait to go back.

If you are going just to eat, you can get free parking for one hour as long as you get the restaurant to stamp your pass. Otherwise, it's $10.00 for the day!

I googled Jalama County Park and the website came up with reservations for cabins.
