LAX Flyaway bus is $9.00 one way, valid for 30 days, you can buy online. Customer service in the airport can direct you to their pick up location. I would recommend light rail as well. It is easier. With flyaway bus and Light rail, your drop off is in the same general location in downtown Long Beach, where restaurants, shopping and lodging are all within an easy walking distance.
