Worth seeing from outside

This is landmark on Hollywood street , have to see it. There are lot of hand and foot marks on the floors. Avoid taking VIP tour inside.

Very crowded and an area where you want to keep your eye on your belongings. Arrive early and you might find street parking, otherwise parking is expensive.

Its quite an happening street and chinese theatres are living the legacy. Right opposite you can see the walk of fame stars. There is parking lots available under hollywood highlands with 2$ from retailer validation. Don't miss being here if you are visiting.

We didn't take a paid tour, but just to see the magnificence of this theatre is amazing! It was fun to walk around and look at the hand and footprints! Even for some recent movies! We also liked seeing the Eqyptian theatre down the street which was built just before the Chinese theatre. Go early morning! The afternoon crowds are... More

We took the 1/2 hour VIP tour and were not disappointed. There were only 3 of us on the tour and we did not need to book in advance. Sarah, our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. The theatre itself is beautiful and the film we saw about the history of the theatre was very interesting. It is well worth... More

Didn't go in or do a tour but just stood and marvelled at all the hands, feet and signatures in the concrete outside. Icons of cinema have all left their mark, and it was great to see. Worth the visit, and with patience you can get photos without other people's feet in the way!

Don't expect to much as it is very underwhelming. It is very small and not much to look at. The stars on the side walk are what you look at.

Tour of LA will not be complete without going here. There were lots of tourists taking pictures . It was nice that most of them were polite and patient.

How much fun to try my footprint and handprint with the stars Shirley Temple, Judy Garland, Ginger Rogers and the Lone Ranger & Tigger's horseshoe.

Good screens, great sound, not cheap if you are a tourist and used to $7-$8 tickets, but fun to say you have done it. The seats were clean and comfortable, the screens were good quality, the sound and projection were good as well. About as excited as I can get writing a review on a movie theater! It is a... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
