With its broad range of 'hands on' exhibitions and its space shuttle display there is something for all ages. Plan to visit mid week, and avoid the crowds, just prepare for the school groups. Some of the exhibits are looking a little tired, and there are a few undergoing repair too - but for a free museum no complaints. The... More

The Science center is in a cluster of other interesting places easy to see on the same outing, including an IMAX theater if desired. It is near the USC campus. The Space Shuttle Challenger is there, a real treat to see.

The California Science Center is designed so that young children as well as adults can understand the world of Science. It is a very well thought out museum with helpful explanations, but the major attraction is the INTREPID which needs no explanation. it is a magnificent structure, a testimonial to aerodynamics

We had a great time and learned a lot. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of very interesting facts and stories with us about the spaceship exhibited there.

I went with my Father, my 13 year old brothers, and my 23 year old daughter and her boyfriend- a mixed group of us with all different interests. We all had a blast and we all want to go back. We went for the Pixar experience and also the Endeavor exhibit. So interesting, so much more to see. Just a... More

The shuttle: Seeing the shuttle in person was far more interesting than I would have imagined. The first thing you notice is just how big it is. The next thing you notice is all of the burn marks and pits from the shuttles last re-entry into the earths atmosphere before becoming a museum exhibit. Looking at this damage one realizes... More

You can pretend you've made it to space in some of the simulators or just stand in awe looking at the actual Space Shuttle Endeavour, and Apollo, Gemini, and Mercury capsules, as well as models of various satellites. (Future plans are in motion to display Endeavour vertically). WARNING: This space monster is HUGE and it's incredible to consider it flew... More

We were shocked that it only cost $3 to get in to see the space shuttle Endeavor. For that, we got to walk around the rest of the museum, looking at aquariums, beautiful sea life, other habitats, interactive flight simulators and machines. Most of the museum is free. Some of the flight simulators cost to add on, but we were... More

The Science centre was awesome. So many things for the kids to do. The highlight was the Endeavour Space Shuttle. We also did hte Space IMAX 3D movie and the Pixar Exhibit. Very easy to get to on the Metro (train). There were some healthy options for lunch also.

Took our 16-year old grandson here for a bit of science, technology and history. The Center is a terrific spot for children and teens, and the Endeavor is a spectacular thing to see no matter your age. And strangely enough for this type of attraction, the food in the food courts isn't bad either and there is a good selection... More
