Fascinating look at LA in the 60s and the infamous Tate-Labianca murders. Great guide. Also found their museum and Jayne Mansfield's Death Car equally informative.

Having lived in Los Angeles for 17 years, there's still so much history, scandal, and glamour that I haven't been able to soak up, but luckily the Dearly Departed Tours is like a crash course in Hollywood legends. The guides, especially Scott, have so much...More

I took the Tragical History tour a little while back and had a blast - the Helter Skelter tour was even better. A well put together narrative that included music and video clips, we traced the steps of the Manson crew as well as the...More

We signed up for this thinking it would be a tacky "death tour" visiting various sites where celebrities died. What it turned out to be was an incredibly interesting tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Yes, you see the sites where Bella Lugosi, Janis Joplin,...More

There is not enough about death, some big things but I was thinking it would all be about death. Also, you go to a cemetery but not Hollywood Forever also. Driver and onsite personnel very nice and friendly. Vehicle very nice and clean.

I booked this tour hesitantly, but willing to embrace however tacky it may seem. I've heard of people posing where the Black Dahlia was found for photo opportunities, and I thought it would be along those lines. I was pleased to find that despite this...More

Scott Michaels is not only an expert on the Manson case, he's also a very good tour guide. There are lots of tours for just about anything imagineable in Los Angeles, but if you have an interest in the Charles Manson case, you'll get lots...More

Loved it. So much Hollywood history in such a small area. The cemetery behind Wilshire Blvd was amazing (Marilyn Monroe, Billy Wilder, Merv Griffin, Farrah Fawcett, Don Knotts, etc). I wish I had had time to go across the street from the tour and visit...More

Dearly Departed Tours offers a few tours, and so far, I've taken them all; Some more than once. The guides are always excellent, friendly and full of knowledge. I will definitely take them again, as I experience something new each time.

Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie
stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day,
tourists flock here from around the world to see the
iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to
catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close.
Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas
the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and
hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night
