I think most of the fun of Sunset Boulevard is just saying you drove down it. From the Art Deco buildings, to the historic signs, Sunset Boulevard is the place to be. With many places that line the street, its easy to pull over in...More

well if one is in LA, they have to stop by The Rodeo Drive. Either drive or walk, you just cant ignore it. A pretty up market street with all the hush hush crowd of Hollywood out for shopping, chatting and socializing. Experience it.

Part of our road trip was to drive and perhaps walk some of the famous streets in the USA. And being in LA meant there were a few to do for sure. Sunset Boulevard is a very long road but there are some sections that...More

One of the best known streets of Los Angeles, which is made famous by some of the Hollywood films, is Sunset Boulevard. You absolutely must go see part of it, perhaps not all because it is so long (over 22 miles or 35 Km). From...More

Hi We were planning to drive the full length of Sunset Boulevard from its start right down to the ocean, believing it will give us a glimpse of lots of parts of LA including The Strip, the wealthy suburbs, UCLA , Pacific Pallisades etc. We have been deterred a bit though because we have read that many parts of the Boulevard are treacherous with hair pin bends and blind crests. Not being left-hand drive drivers to start with, this sounds a bit scary. Would really love some feedback from locals - is this an exaggeration or an understatement? How much of the road is like this and - especially - if so, where are these sections? Is there usually heavy traffic along the length of the road outside of Hollywood? If advice is to avoid Sunset, which road is best to get to Santa Monica? Thanks heaps in advance.

Hi, Sunset's probably the best way to meander across LA, and the drivers are about the same everywhere, just remember to wave and signal and you can get away with anything with a wave... If you've come to shop, Rodeo... More
