The best tasting tour of DTLA Arts District! Brian is an amazing tour guide and host. A great alternative to GNO.

The food and information provided was excellent. There was a young man apprentice along and he was wonderful. Very interactive and interesting. He lived in the downtown area so had lots of wonderful information and tips. One thing I would suggest: I've been on many walking tours in different cities and haven't had an experience where the guide waits for... More

We had a wonderful time on the Arts District tour. The group was diverse, and really enjoyed getting to know one another. We learned of some new small, family-owned restaurants, as well as a bakery, a chocolate factory, and a great neighborhood high-end market. We also walked around the neighborhood, viewing great street-art. I highly recommend the experience!

New ( to me) food and drink hot spots plus art --murals from international and local artists-create a combination that keeps you fascinated and sated for 4 full hours. Highly recommended!

I've done two Six Taste Tours and loved both. It is well run, Sally is super engaging and friendly. Love the combination of the great food and history of the community. Great way to learn about my own city and to find wonderful new places to eat.

A really good way to discover Los Angeles! I joined a free sample tour, that was given during the Airbnb Open and absolutely enjoyed it. Our guide was friendly, funny and really knew the places he took us to. If I return one day, I will book a complete tour - it is worth every penny. Really good fun and... More

My girlfriend and I went on Six Taste's DTLA food tour with Nancy as our guide and Khurram shadowing. Coincidentally, it was the same day as the Women's March so downtown was packed. Both Nancy and Khurram handled the entire situation well and improvised with ease. A couple of the locations we were planning on going were closed due to... More

I went on the DTLA tour with Six Taste as a birthday activity – such a fun and unique experience! I loved that we tasted food from multiple restaurants with great variety. We started off at Maccheroni Republic for a sampler of different pasta dishes, then off to Guisados for the freshest quesadilla that I’ve ever had! Afterwards, we continued... More

Sally is a very friendly guide with a large knowledge of the history of Little Tokyo. She designed a very easy walk of the neighborhood restaurants. I especially liked Far East. It was informative and tasty!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
