Ok area, totally changed over the past 20 + years. Not for the average joe and definitely not an attraction. On the pricey side. the beach is so close I think that would be a better choice.
Great restaurants, ice cream and shopping! Its like a soho of la in some ways. slightly upscale and hipster now.
An eclectic mix of shops and restaurants, a walk and a pop in to see local products is a good idea. I bought some candles. Most stores are one off ones and have interesting designs. Some lovely coffee shops. Worth a visit.
