Reliable Theatre Excellence

Have had a subscription for some years - almost never disappointed. Appreciate the productions that are world premieres, also fun to see name actors on stage at times.

We went to see the presentation "Appropriate", a three hour play. That's right three hours, but the time went by quickly as it kept one captivated. It was a good production. It is not a large theater so most seats are good, though it is best to be in the middle. The seats are really comfortable which made it that... More

We have attended the Mark Taper throughout the years and each season we are amazed at its unique quality of theatrical productions ! The theater is fairly small so there are truly no bad seats. Take a chance and check it out- you won't be disappointed!

I like this theater... small & intimate. Every seat is a good seat. It is clean and maintained nicely. The staffs are very polite and friendly. Always good plays performing there. Parking is $9 below the theater. Tough to find street metered parking.

Acting was excellent and seats were comfortable, and able to have a meal in the vicinity of the theatre complex.

We attended a performance of "The Price." This was our first visit to the facility, so we did not know what to expect. We heard some people say that the Mark Taper Forum has a range of performances ranging from "unusual" to excellent. "The Price" was well done from the sets and acting to the staff and script (written by... More

Great play, went on opening weekend. The plot is magnificent and the acting makes it a super entertaining and provocative play. I have been a subscriber for over 30 years and I can highly recommend all their plays.

Although the building is round, this isn't theater in the round. The house is raked so there probably isn't a bad seat in the house. This is professional theater in the heart of L.A. and part of Dorothy Chandler's concept for the arts. Some interesting plays are produced here with wonderfully talented artists. Bee sure to go when in So.... More

Had a really good time watching A show at the Mark Taper forum. This is a theater complex, so there are three theaters within the one place, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Ahmanson center and this one. It seems like they share the same structured parking lot, which is underground. Now, without further ado, let's talk about this theater. Not a... More
