The coast line is beautiful and quiet wuthout too many tourists. The hike along tbe coast line is nice, but watch out for dog poop. They are everywhere. The place feels and looks like a miniturized version of Carmel/Monterey. The Monterey Peninsula is still far...More

We watched the sun set at a beach just down from where we were staying and it was amazing! (Check out Kenneth's place '400 sqft loft with ocean view' listed in Fort Bragg CA for $67 dollars a night on AirB&B) The beach was pretty...More

It ain't what it use to be! There are hardly in shops open anymore. There use to be lots of shops and neat things to buy. But this last time we went. It was a big disappointment.

Driving up the Mendocino Coast was exhilarating. My wife would often video record the drive as we would wind through forests and then it would open up to the coast. That would only replay itself over and over again. We would stop every so often...More

The ocean is beautiful. The flowers in all the gardens were spectacular. There are many Bed and Breakfast accommodations. Fairly expensive but the area is worth it. There is a wonderful museum in the town of Mendocino. You do not need to move your car...More

Driving along the coast or walking along the cliffs by Mendocino is delightful. The sea crashing on the rocks is endlessly interesting. New rock formations around every bend.

It is a fantastic coastline with many stopping places offering access. Many are busy but never had an issue finding a parking spot. Because the beach is not 100% tidal above the high tide mark can have some unpleasant surprises including doggy messages However the...More

Flew into Seattle and drove down the coast to reach our final destination of San Diego. Stopped in Mendocino for a night. Pretty town and the coastline is lovely.

There are several walks along the coast. Actually I think the one in Fort Bragg is nicer than the one in Mendocino. Also, the private garden walk in Fort Bragg is worth the admission price.

There are not many places in the town itself. I would book in advance.
