I come here to relax, read a book, walk in the great outdoors, see a wild turkey, get away from the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley. It works.

Huge natural park, there are two spots with in the park, one has very nice children's area, lake and small hike. very serene and nice place for picnic or birthday party

I went to the part near a pond - I don't think I had to - don't know about the main area though

Highly recommended although not essential unless for camping or selection of a specific picnic area by the lake, etc. Ci.milpitas.gov should have all details current for the time of your travel.
