McHenry Mansion provides the viewer the opportunity to step back in time, to a long gone era, with docents to add to the mystery and mystique of life back when Modesto was a very small town.

This Victorian home as been completely restored to the time period of 1883 when Robert McHenry had it built so he could be nearer town. The home is beautifully decorated with period furnishings and is immaculately maintained by volunteer docents.

upon entering this mansion it is like stepping back in time and the life of Mr. McHenry and his family not to mention a goodly part of Modesto and it's growth highly recommend

This is a treasure in downtown Modesto. What a beautiful historic home! This home is open to the public and is free. Definitely worth visiting!
