Just steps from the wharf, take a break from the touristy side of Monterey. This was a fantastic step into Monterey history. Guide was fun and informative. Don't miss this one hour tour!

Nothing very fancy or impressive about this place but still worth a visit. If nothing else, its a great place to just hang out and relax between meals and drinks and take a nice walk to see some of the historical portions of Monterey.

Original, historic buildings like the Customs House are staged to appear the way they were in the 19th century. It is a worthwhile visit to step back from our modern society to learn how people lived during the formation of the state.
