What can I say, the whole of Monterey is just lovely, the Wharf, the loveliest beaches with white sand, and driving routes that take your breath away.

A perfect place to spend time outdoors. The beautiful trails and sights cost nothing and are simply gorgeous. You can spend days outdoors walking.

The Bay is just beautiful and also world renowned. Even in Beijing, I hear people talking about Monterey Bay. The weather was a bit cold for late June but temps were pleasant during the day but chili at night. There are so many things to...More

All of Monterrey is lovely but take a walk along this path. It is so relaxing and really worth doing late evening.

Had a few hours to spend here while on a recent holiday. Cracking views of the harbour, boats and seals basking in the sunshine. Worth a dander around with lots to see and do.

Ton's to do and the weather is mostly cool year round. Can be rainy in January though. 17 Mile drive is awesome, Lover's point, Cannery Row, the Aquarium was packed last month but was a weekend.

Hello Julie, I believe April is a good time as they start their migration back from sea of Cortez to Alaska. They get very close to the Monterey coast to feed. Hope that helps. Safe travels, Raj

Can't answer this definitively but we went whale watching late August and saw Blue whales, Hump Backs and Fin Whales which are apparently very rare.
