We stumbled upon this while walking around the nearby area and we were so happy to find it. You can only see it from the outside but it is still pretty neat to see.

Only takes a moment of your walking tour but cool that the First Theatre ... extremely tiny room theatre that is ... is still around to view. Take a moment to gander.

This bit of history is very cool and still significant today. In a state known for its entertainment industry, this is an amazing landmark as to where it all began!

Look like a neat building from the outside. It wasn't on the tour we took but heard about it from other people. I wish we could of got inside.

The picture doesn't show the theater, it's a block up the hill and has been closed for many years now. The location is Scott and Pacific Street.

It's a great place to see a play (mostly revivals of old plays) Small and cozy. There are occasional concerts and other events held in the theater.

I am so glad that we have historic buildings. We need to keep them!! I wish that I could have gone inside. Downtown Monterey has many cool, old buildings.
