Great little harbor town with SO many awesome mom and pop shops. We ate at "Dockside" across from the smokestacks (you'll see them!). Amazing chowder and fish dishes! Great friendly staff! Galley's was another restaurant recommended to us. Restaurants, hotels and shops all appear to be clean and close together. We walked to dinner. Felt completely safe. You won't be... More

This is a cute little beach town that was charming to see. The park around the rock had many different types of visual interests. The rock itself is quite looming and of course a big presence, but there were lots of other things to see as well. My husband and really enjoyed watching the surfers try their hand at catching... Morro Rock is amazing due to all the wildlife that is living around it. The rock is a beautiful site but you can't do much other then look at it. So great for a morning or afternoon stroll & to see some wildlife but that's all

Great place to visit. Weather was cool but comfortable and we saw squirrels on the rocks. Very cute.

Stillness is wonderful away from L.A. The view, the walking paths provided a view of blues and greens not seen in a long time with the Cal drought.

A giant rock protrudes between land and sea. Several species of birds hang out on the rock, while seals and otters can be seen frequently around the base of the rock. Fun surf too!

We drove out to the rock and spent some time exploring the south side (towards the harbor) and watching the wildlife in the inlet. We saw sea otters and seals. A way to forget the hassles of work for sure!

From which ever way you view the bay the rock is the main centre point. Drove to the end and spent a pleasant hour watching the pelicans and sea otters.

The remnant of a volcano, and the last visible one of a string of volcanoes that extends into the Pacific, Morro Rock is a landmark. One may not climb the rock but it is a very attractive part of the landscape.
