Morro Bay Golf Course is often referred to as “Poor Man’s Pebble Beach” and is a “must play”. The course offers stunning panoramic ocean views from just about every hole. This “player-friendly” 18-hole public course has tree lined fairways and hilly terrain placing a premium on club selection.

With grand vies of the ocean, rolling hills, groves of cypress trees this course is a real treat. It is in relatively good shape for the amount of play it gets being a municipal public facility. These views rival price ocean front courses like Trump...More

Played on Sunday, anticipating a slow day, but the course moved well. Appreciated the downhill holes and enjoyed the challenge of the uphill - some interesting pin placements. The staff are lovely, be prepared carry a jacket as ocean breezes can be chilly, I was...More

This is more the "Poor man's Pebble Beach" than all of the other coast courses who say they are. Course in good shape, challenging for all level of golfer, hilly but still easy to walk.

The course is in good shape, set in a beautiful location. Wonderful views of the bay, mud flats and ocean......tough to beat for the price. The course is tight, and holes lie back to back and parallel so may add additional challenges for those who...More

we normally stop here in November on our drive down to Palm Springs but were unable to this year. Lucky for us the rains stopped long enough to play in February. This course has great drainage so it is never soggy. The views are fantastic...More

This is the bargain of the century, about $25, but another $18 per person for cart rental. The greens are top quality and roll true. Tee boxes need some work, but fairways are fairly nice, and pace of play is good!

My husband and I played here on May 6, a Friday and were quite pleasantly surprised the course was not crowded and we were sent off as a twosome. Since we were playing to celebrate our anniversary, this was a nice perk. My husband is...More
