Hands down this is my favorite winery in the Napa valley. We are novice wine connoisseurs and Luis provided an incredible tasting experience. We spent over 2.5 hours talking with him about the vineyard, the wines, and the Napa/Sonoma area in general. He was such...More

We pulled up to a residential estate, Uber left and we were told we couldn't stay because they weren't "like other tasting establishments, they are at a residential location." They offered us a nice glass of Chardonnay as we waited for our Uber to turn...More

We couldn't partake because it's by appointment only and they only do 2-3 a day... he was nice enough to give us one taste though. NEXT!

If you are looking for an intimate experience with a first class winery, look no further. I spent a beautiful afternoon with my husband and parents taking in the scenery and sampling amazing wine and cheese. Our host Jason could sell a ketchup popsicle to...More

After looking up where to wine taste in Napa Valley decided to stop at O'Brien Estate Winery. What a pleasant surprise to see that the reviews were correct. The O'Brien's home is on estate. What a beautiful view from their backyard where we really enjoyed...More

Don't get me wrong - it was a nice tasting experience, but the tripadvisor reviews made it sound like it was something incredibly special. It is a lovely setting and everyone was friendly. Sitting outside to enjoy the wines was very pleasant, but they weren't...More

This was my very first wine tasting experience and I couldn't have been any more pleased. Shortly after arriving we were handed wine glasses with a pour of white wine. And these weren't three-sips-and-you're-done pours. They were "Welcome to our home, let's show you around"...More

We enjoyed all of our tastings in Napa but this was the most intimate and fun tasting we had by far. We sat in the backyard and just had wonderful conversations with Luis while drinking beautiful reds and whites. Could not recommend enough! This is...More

We enjoyed starting our day with Jason at O'Brien. Our innkeeper suggested we visit and taste their red blends. So glad we did as we are now Wine Club members! Cheers!

We are staying in Yountville in May. Do we need to book tastings in the town or do we just walk in? Also should we book winery tours outside of the town.

Most of the smaller wineries require reservations, I would call or email the ones you want to go to, so you aren't turned away. OBrien and Venge require reservations, groups of four or less may be able to just walk in for a... More

Best to reserve tastings well in advance at O'Brien's, small and intimate, as opposed to Castelo. Do it on line or by phone in advance. O'Brien's is very close to Yountville, but you will need to drive.

Hello ! I am visiting San Francisco from Sydney in October 2016 with a friend, we are both Vegan and would absolutely love to plan a day trip to the Napa and Sonoma Wine Regions to visit Vegan wineries =) I loved reading your review of O'Brien Estate Winery ! Could you please send me any information about this winery and other Vegan wineries to visit in the region, and ideas for transport, as it will be just the two of us and we have never visited the area before. Any information will be greatly appreciated! Thank you, and enjoy your week =) Kate

I would recommend the Venge, Pride and Vincent Arroyo wineries, I not sure about them being vegan. We had a rental car and drove ourselves, some people had a driver tour them instead of the bigger van tours. We stayed at a... More
