Pond area was beautiful, but VERY muddy. Went about 1.3 Mi out from the entrance next to the Count buildings. The ravine area is pretty neat, some switchbacks down/up the hills. The worst part of the hike was the strong smell of gas and diesel...More

What a lovely walk, on such a gorgeous day in March! Just enough up and down hills to make it a work out. Watch out for the coyotes!

Easy to find and easy to navigate. Get some steps in and see some nice views. The trail is well marked and you have a choice at one point to see more.

Easy trail around cute little lake, my older dog loves it (no steep inclines). Fall is my favorite time at the pond

There is nothing spectacular or challenging about this trail but it is a very nice escape. The trail is tree lined and the pond is pretty.

Hirschman's Pond Trail is relatively new and is a great addition to the outdoor offerings in this area. Most of the trail is wide and well-maintained. No loose rocks or steep inclines. Beautiful views of the remnants of the old hydraulic mining's effects on local...More
