This was once known as ExplorOcean in Balboa Fun Zone. It has recently been merged with Discovery Cube and renamed Discovery Cube's OceanQuest. Since my boys love Discovery Cube LA and even love Discovery Cube OC more, we wanted to give it a try. We...More

I think kids of any age can find it amazing. We took a 1 and 3 year old boys. They had a blast. it was a great way to spend a couple of hours right after their naps.

Someone with a lot of funding and a dream built ExplorOcean. They meant well, but it just does not excite. Sorry, I'm a local and I had high hopes for the place. Personally, I wish they would replace everything with the old Merry-go-round, bumper cars,...More

Extremely disappointed in how they handled a class that my kids attended. Staff was rude and extremely unhelpful. Follow up email from the staff was disappointing as well. Parents avoid.

I highly doubt this is the "nation’s premiere ocean literacy center" as indicated in their description. The place is kind of small and dirty. The touch tank was cool and the staff were nice and friendly. Bathrooms were gross, hold it if you can. I...More

Thank you for your feedback. We thrive on educating children the 7 ocean literacy principles through hands-on activities. Children of all ages enjoy our field trips, events, and summer camps. The exciting new attractions and some of the old rides, like the Ferris Wheel, put...More
