I grew up hiking many trails in the East Bay Regional Park District and to this day it's one of my favorite activities. There are such a variety of trails in terms of scenery, distance, and difficulty level and they all have free parking and...More

Redwood Park along with others in the Park District are outstanding outdoor areas. There's a feeling of being far away from the urban noise and yet close enough to a short 1/2 day to full day trip.

Love having the opportunity to visit all these amazing parks. In fact, that's the best thing about living in Oakland having all these parks nearby. I still have lots to explore but so far have been happy to try out East Bay hikes with hubby...More

This park system is huge, and there is a lot here. Lakes, hiking, biking, ball fields. And some reservoirs. Very important to the region.

Climbing Inspiration Point is special when it's a beautiful day. You can hike as long as you wish and however long it is is just right.

We've enjoyed so many of the EBR Parks over the years it's impossible to pick a favorite. We are lucky to have all the urban open space the EBRP looks after and we hope visitors will enjoy one or more of these parks.
