Cultivated with passion and a singular vision, Opus One produces one ultra-premium Bordeaux blend a year. A collaboration between Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Opus One arose out of passion. And beginning with the first harvest in 1979, every vintage of Opus One has expressed the vision and passionate spirit of its founders. Our goal is to create a wine of ultimate quality that reflects the traditions and innovations of both founders. Visiting the winery is by appointment only.

There's a lot of history that has gone into Opus One winery. Both its founders' influence can be seen inside. No detail is too small. From the reason for the olive trees to the limestone used. If you're a fan of Opus One, the history...More

Stunning architecture from the moment you come up the driveway. This looks like an elegant private home. Very discreetly set so that the vineyards are not immediately visible. Only four guests in Corey's group, and I cannot say enough about this informative and enjoyable tour....More

My husband and I recently visited and were pleasantly surprised. I think I just had really high expectations so I was expecting to be disappointed. I can see why people say the staff is stuck-up, however, our tour guide was the most knowledgable of all...More

I had been to this winery about 1/2 dozen times over the years, so when I visited on a weekday this time without a reservation, I didn’t think it would be a problem. Well, we were not treated very well at all. My sister wanted...More
