This is a very pretty park with nice trails and good camping spaces. Ranger Szandor was especially helpful and friendly. He shared information and photos, not only about this park, but others we asked about. The park is situated in a nice residential area but is close to a lot of services and stores.

Guajome park is a small regional park just 8 miles from the beach and less than 1 mile from the beach trail. A great place for hiking, mountain biking or a family picnic. There were some people fishing in the lake, but I don't know how good it is in terms of catch. The two playgrounds are newly updated so... More

This is a quiet, small regional campground with a day use lake, a trail that takes you around the lake, other walking trails. The steam museum is not far away. You can bike to Oceanside on a dedicated trail.

We walked around the park while staying overnight here. It was quite nice. Lots of trails. Hot showers for campers (pay with quarters). Restrooms/showers were very clean and nice. There was an area under a sun canopy with exercise equipment! Pretty cool. Noise from the busy highway nearby was nill. Would stay again.

Guajome has miles of trails that wind through the valley. The park and trails are well maintained to allow for walking, running, biking, or horseback riding. There is always plenty of wildlife to enjoy. Ducks, herons, hawks, turtles, frogs, horses, snakes, coyotes, and plenty of other species.

Helped me learn all about the history of surfing. Well worth it for an hour when you are cruising downtown oceanside.

We have camped in a Fifth Wheel at Guajome County Park several times over the 17 years. The first time we really enjoyed it except they don't offer a sewer. And the prices were reasonable. The last time we were not very happy. They have cut a lot of trees and bushes and now there is no privacy between sites.... More
