Very nice display of animals--stuffed and information. The trail was not recommended due to recent rain. I appreciated knowing that the trail was muddy and not recommended at the time we stopped.

We attending a presentation given by a man from Panama. It was fun and informative and we learned so much about hummingbirds. Even the novice would enjoy the presentations.

The Audubon Center is easily the best local experience for viewing and nature as both the past and the present. It's on the edge of the Buena Vista Lagoon, a good place to see nature and how we people have impacted it. Stop by: It's interesting for everyone.

The nature center is free of charge, staffed by dedicated & knowledgeable volunteers and a showcase for a small but artful display of several local birds and animals preserved by taxidermy in creative and natural settings. There is a short walking trail in a marshy area of one of the few southern California Lagoons still in existence. With some muddy... More

This is a wonderful place for out of towners or with kids. The location directly on the lagoon makes it special. Take time to walk around the lagoon. The staff is very knowledgable. Worth a visit.

The center is very small. It will only take a few minutes to see the stuffed animals. The trail through the cattails is like walking through a corn stalk maze at Halloween. There are small openings (maybe 3) where you will catch a glimpse of water. Do not attempt to walk this if you use a cane. However, the bathrooms... More

This place is right by my apartment and I love it. There's a nice little nature center to visit, but the real gem is the trail that winds through the reeds. It's a really short hike and quite beautiful (but if you go out at dawn or dusk, wear mosquito repellent).

This would be a wonderful learning experience for children both in the nature center and along the walking trails. It is interesting for adults as well. A number of local birds and animals (taxidermy) are displayed in the center along with information about them. There is a large teaching area for classes on the 1st floor of the center. Everything...
