Squaw, Along with Aspen, Vail, Sun Valley, etc. is one of the most famous and iconic ski areas in North America and should be on the “bucket list” of anyone that is passionate about the sport itself. I’ve skied there a good number of times...More

We skied the first week of April. The runs were great! Plenty of runs for all levels. You can also ski Alpine. A shuttle goes between the two resorts. Lines to the lifts were short and the staff was friendly.

Limitless terrain with great locals who will show you around on quiet days. There is a wide variety of challenge here.

The resort has enough staff to help you navigate the area so you don't get lost. They are all extremely nice and friendly. They provide enough areas to eat/rest, so you don't feel like it is overcrowded during the Spring Break.

More of a intermediate to advanced skier mountain. The are very serious about avalanche control. Alpine Meadows is more for beginners and intermediate but has advance terrain.

Skied here for annual NASTAR Championships. First time back since 1980. A little crowded, and lift staff looking at tablets rather than greeting guests. Would come back but only for NASTAR.

Second trip to Squaw Valley and both times the weather was terrible. We were there for six days with two days of rain and wind, two days of heavy snow and wind (top of the mountain closed both days), and two days of good weather,...More

If you like steep and cliffs, you can find these here! But, there are enough nice blue runs that everyone can enjoy. Just make sure you go to both sides of the mountain. Apres ski is fun; they often have music.

Went with family. Husband and I hung out at the Olympic Village. We were able to walk down a 2 mile path which ended at highway 89. We did that while waiting for the young adults who were snowboarding. There is a Starbucks, nice pizza...More

Mother nature rained on our parade. We met a number of nice staff members while we wandered around getting wet. This was my second trip here and it was no better than the first, which was terrible.

Jodi, Given the snow this year, there will be lots of pow. Squaw gets skied out very quickly on the weekends, but it is a large resort and you can find pockets. Just ask the staff or experienced skiers and they'll help... More

This season rivals the big snow years of various seasons past, like 1982 and 2010. I shot aerials of Squaw in late March in 2010 and the season continued until June. They have had more snow in January of this year (23') than... More
