This was my first time to the area and my first time skiing at Squaw Valley. It is definitely a serious Mountain. A lot of the advanced terrain was closed or fairly limited and by the time I arrived a few days before the Memorial...More

We are from South Lake by way of Big Island and have been skiing Tahoe for years. Our mistake was investing in a home near Heavenly. We should have invested in Olympic Valley. The management, the staff, the parks, the mountain, the snow....ALL much more...More

The staff at the ticket counter and the ski rental place were not very friendly or helpful. The skis I rented really were in poor shape. The skiing was OK, but did not have much variety and seemed a little slow.

I attending a work function at the resort. The area is very beautiful and I enjoyed driving around and taking in the sites. Snowy mountains. Full creek. Lots of places to ski and hike.

Wow, we lucked out this year! I grew up skiing in Colorado and since have traveled multiple times to Utah, New Mexico, and Montana. This was my first trip to the Tahoe area, and I booked the trip last fall before we knew what an...More

Perfect ski day with girlfriend! We got up to the mountain around 10am, other resort pass holders get better than half off the lift price, up the Gold Coast Funnitel, Siberia, Headwall, Shirley then Granite Chief and back down on Funnitel. Awesome 3 hours of...More

I am very impressed by the advanced level of terrain at Squaw. I am a long time skier, expert level, and I was pleasantly surprised by the advanced terrain. The beautiful views and on our day sunny skies just made it that much more memorable....More

We live in San Francisco and have lots of friends who go up to Lake Tahoe to ski. Somehow, it seems that most of them like to ski at Squaw - almost always! We're expert skiers, and appreciate that Squaw has a lot to offer....More

Can someone be honest and tell me about squaw Valley Spring skiing? Are the conditions powder? Are there plenty of intermediate slopes? Is everything still open and around (mid mountain restaurants, outdoor live music etc.). I'm from the east coast and miss powder skiing. I want to take my husband out for the full experience but am used to Colorado.

Jodi, Given the snow this year, there will be lots of pow. Squaw gets skied out very quickly on the weekends, but it is a large resort and you can find pockets. Just ask the staff or experienced skiers and they'll help... More

Hi guys, I've been meaning to go skiing all season but been stuck with exams. They're finally over but it feels like so is skiing season. I was wondering if I can still go skiing late February and hope to catch some powder? Appreciate any comments. Thanks

This season rivals the big snow years of various seasons past, like 1982 and 2010. I shot aerials of Squaw in late March in 2010 and the season continued until June. They have had more snow in January of this year (23') than... More
