We took our four year old granddaughter for her second snowboard trip. The first was when she was three. Snow was available at the top and there were still some flat areas where her dad could give instructions to our budding snowboarder.

I have skied here for several decades and although I really enjoy the location and the scenery, I have to observe that they don't do such a great job grooming the slopes. That makes the actual skiing experience much less enjoyable.

We were a family with kids driving into Lake Tahoe expecting some snow for enjoying some tubing and walking on the snow. It was only after reaching the base did we realize that all the resorts and play areas are closed since winter is over....More

Squaw, Along with Aspen, Vail, Sun Valley, etc. is one of the most famous and iconic ski areas in North America and should be on the “bucket list” of anyone that is passionate about the sport itself. I’ve skied there a good number of times...More

We skied the first week of April. The runs were great! Plenty of runs for all levels. You can also ski Alpine. A shuttle goes between the two resorts. Lines to the lifts were short and the staff was friendly.

Limitless terrain with great locals who will show you around on quiet days. There is a wide variety of challenge here.

The resort has enough staff to help you navigate the area so you don't get lost. They are all extremely nice and friendly. They provide enough areas to eat/rest, so you don't feel like it is overcrowded during the Spring Break.

More of a intermediate to advanced skier mountain. The are very serious about avalanche control. Alpine Meadows is more for beginners and intermediate but has advance terrain.

Skied here for annual NASTAR Championships. First time back since 1980. A little crowded, and lift staff looking at tablets rather than greeting guests. Would come back but only for NASTAR.

Jodi, Given the snow this year, there will be lots of pow. Squaw gets skied out very quickly on the weekends, but it is a large resort and you can find pockets. Just ask the staff or experienced skiers and they'll help... More

This season rivals the big snow years of various seasons past, like 1982 and 2010. I shot aerials of Squaw in late March in 2010 and the season continued until June. They have had more snow in January of this year (23') than... More
