Great day trip, especially when the wildflowers are in bloom. You can leave from Oroville and go to Table Mountain then drop down into Chico.

We went on a splendid spring day, which is really what you want for a visit to Table Mountain. We were a little behind the curve, so missed the poppies, but there were still lots of lovely wildflowers and beautiful vistas across the cow pastures....More

Hiked just short of 2 miles to Phantom Falls. Trail was not strenuous, but rocky. Use the bathroom before heading on the trail. No options otherwise. Lots of colorful flowers in the spring (I went late March).

While visiting Oroville I took a quick drive across Table Mountain. It's not a place to spend a day, but it certainly isn't interesting Drive. I wish I had taking the time to hike, if that's even possible.

If you would like a nice afternoon trip, drive up to table top mountain. Nice views and it give your teenagers something else to complain about.

Beautiful in March when the wild flowers are in bloom. Easy to moderate hike. Be sure to check out Phantom falls which is a little longer hike but well worth it!

Whether a ride up to the top followed by a picnic, or a hike out to see the falls that occur during the rainy season....... this is a beautiful place to enjoy the Mesa. I live in this area and have enjoyed picnics up there...More

Since there aren’t any real trails that are marked just some worn paths, finding the falls can be tricky. If you go off of the corner of the fence that you pass through it would be a 45 degree angle. You’ll walk awhile until... More
